Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse

Location:  Lorain County Office, 5255 N. Abbe Road, Elyria 44035

Provides advanced psychiatric nursing care and mental health services as agreed upon in the Standard Care Arrangement for Psychiatric clinical Nurse Specialists.  Patient assessment and evaluation, prescribing, general medication management and treatment planning. 

Documentation of medical record.  Coordination of client care and facilitation of hospitalization of clients as needed. Assists with psychiatric emergencies that arise during office hours.

Requires  current Certificate of Authority to Practice as a Clinical Nurse Specialist or a Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing.  Successful completion of the Advanced Pharmacology course.   Download an online PDF employment application or submit a pre-employment inquiry.
